Bingo games: cards, patterns, and extra balls

Bingo is familiar to a lot of Filipino households: a card, called numbers, and a pattern that completes a prize. Online versions keep that idea and add speed, extra cards, and paid “extra ball” prompts. The pattern is easy to learn. The extras are where the session cost changes.

Cards and calls

A standard card is a grid of numbers. The game calls numbers until someone completes the winning pattern, or until the card in a solo-style game hits a listed pattern. More cards raise your coverage and raise the price of the round by the same multiple. Four cards cost about four times one card.

Auto-daub marks numbers for you. It is convenient. It also makes it easier to buy another round without noticing the spend. Glance at the round price, not only the prize banner.

Patterns and prize tiers

Games list patterns in the paytable: a line, four corners, a blackout, or a branded shape. One round can pay more than one tier. Read whether a bigger pattern replaces the smaller prize or stacks on top. That single rule changes the value of the card.

Jackpot labels (“top prize”, “must go”) need the qualifying pattern and the stake requirement. A jackpot that only qualifies above a minimum card price is a different product from a casual one-card game.

Extra balls

After the initial calls, some games offer extra balls for a rising price. The prompt shows a cost and sometimes a “possible win.” The possible win is not cash in hand. Compare the extra-ball price with the prize you would actually complete. If the ball costs more than the prize step you care about, skip it.
